With all the interruptions the past two weeks, we haven’t had a chance to put up our christmas tree and decorate the house. I had planned to do it last weekend but ended up in bed instead. I went to visit my mom today and realized I’d be back next weekend since it’s Christmas. This year has absolutely flown by. We’ve made a pact to get it all done tomorrow for sure. We have one week from today until Christmas. On the 7th day before Christmas my true love gave to me . . . 7 swans a swimming!
December 21st will also be exactly one year since my heart attack. I remember being very freaked out about having parts put in my body lol. It was a crazy time to say the least. One minute I was at home watching TV and working on the computer and the next we were headed to the hospital. It began as a numbing of my right arm and then spread across to my left. It was somewhat like a hyperventalation that was much more intense.
We lived right by a hospital so I was getting treatment in less than 15 minutes. There’s hospitals within 5 miles of everywhere here, I swear lol. I started feeling better right away so after a while, I decided to head home though they wanted to keep me overnight to monitor me. I thought it might just be an anxiety attack or something similar and I felt fine so I signed myself out. Bad move. The next morning, I began having the same issues as I got ready for work so once again, we headed to the hospital and this time, I took a bag because I knew I wasn’t coming home that day!
My father had heart disease for 27 years so this is nothing new to me. I’ve made many lifestyle changes because he had a heart attack at 51 also. I totally believe that his history helped me because when all was said and done, I suffered no damage. I have always watched my diet and I knew the symptoms right away. Getting treatment immediately saved me from damage that could’ve been debilitating. I have stents now so my arteries will stay open for a long time. Other than the cost of the meds to keep me healthy, I’m doing wonderful coming up to my 1 year anniversary of being healthy again 🙂
I believe the stress of all that happened from the porn industry contributed to this happening so I now meditate and use my mojos and mantras to keep me relaxed which relates to healthier. I love music and use many songs to exercise to so I put this all together in a form of yoga/meditation program. The stretches are great for my back problems and the rest is great for the soul 🙂
You know, the main thing I’ve learned in the past year is that what happened yesterday doesn’t matter. It’s what tomorrow brings and how you respond to it that’s important.
