I thought this was a cool photo with an even better name “Mystic Clockwork”. The holidays are fast approaching as we tick off the days until Christmas. 2012 has already proven to be a year like no other and it hasn’t even gotten here.
My mom turned 80 this year yet it’s hard to believe she’s that old. I think of her like she’s still 60 though that wouldn’t work since I’m now 51 lol. Time flies whether you’re having fun or not and before we know it, we’ve become our parents 😉
I’ve been so blessed to have such a great family. This weekend I’m headed to my mom’s first to help her decorate for Christmas. She came down with pneumonia before Thanksgiving and God bless her, she’s managed to stay out of the hospital. She’s not a woman who sits around much as my parents have always been involved in church and other community activities. Being this sick is tough for her because she’s not used to having to lay around and rest. Now that I have a cold, we’ll be a fine match tomorrow. It’s always great to spend time with her and I appreciate every minute that I have with her, especially due to her age.
From there, I’m off to visit my granddaughter and kids. She’s almost 5 months now and we are the best of buds 🙂 My heart gushes just to think about her. It’s the greatest thing to have grandkids, it truly is. She loves to hang over my shoulder and fall asleep cuddling 🙂 It’s been wonderful to watch my kids as they grew into parents right before my eyes. It reminds me so many times of when my own kids were babies. Watching them play and experience new things is some of the best entertainment out there!
Last week, they came by our place and we went out for dinner at a favorite mexican restaurant. I normally pick up food so didn’t know they had entertainment on weekends. The baby was fascinated and her eyes would get sooo big. It was a trapeze type show so she kept pushing her head back into me as she looked higher and higher. It was so funny because she was so adorable that everyone sitting around us was watching her instead of the show lol.
As December is finally here, we have 23 days until Christmas. Tick Tock, Tick Tock!!
