I Woke Up with a Cold – Yuck!!

Well, I had made it this far so I was hoping to be out of the woods for catching the flu but no luck. I woke up at 4am with a fever. Not much of one but enough to make me feel like crap. I decided to stay home today and rest to maybe stop it in it’s tracks. It’s 7pm and I feel a little better. I’m just glad that I got my term papers done before this hit. I’m carrying an A in both classes so I wouldn’t want anything to jeopardize that 🙂

It’s been so much fun to work on Foxxy Tales. I set up my Twitter and YouTube accounts. I’ve got some great ideas for this blog that I can’t wait to work on. This weekend, I’m going to my mom’s to help her decorate for the holidays and then to see my grandbaby and kids. Next week I have final exams which should be pretty straightforward and then I’ll be open until mid January to have some fun here.

The past two years has had many ups along with a few downs but life has finally taken on a structure again so that I can work toward my goals again. Of course, one of my main goals has always been to get back to writing. I’ve made some recent progress on the books I’ve been working on but those are long term goals for me. For now, I’m ready to have some fun again.

To bring you all up to speed, we moved recently into a real cute place with alot more space. My furniture and stuff fits in like it was bought for the place. It’s in a much nicer neighborhood than we were last at. I liked my last place but I did nickname it “The Fortress” lol. The neighborhood was iffy in a “beautification” project that never quite got finished most likely due to the economy. In the 2 years I lived there, it had gone from iffy to not good so was definitely time for a move 😉

I’ve been working with small businesses to help set up office systems which is a specialty of mine. With my compliance and technology backgrounds, I can get any office organized and running more efficiently which is every business owners dream these days so I’m getting busier. I’m working on incorporating and expect to have that done in Janaury 2012. I thought it perfect to begin a business in January as it starts the books off right and since 2012 is going to be such a big year, I thought it appropriate for the beginning of my independence 🙂

While working as a business consultant keeps me busy and pays the bills, I’m also working on my degree in computer related crime investigations. I plan to get my private investigators license after I get through the core classes which gives me a certification pretty fast. Then I do my general education classes to finish my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and from there, I plan to get my bachelors in Technology 😉

One thing I found years ago that I’m good at is learning something new and putting it into practice. I have longed for the day to own my own business again and that day is finally happening. 2012 will bring great things!!

  3. Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  8. I should say also believe that mesothelioma is a unusual form of melanoma that is usually found in these previously exposed to asbestos. Cancerous tissues form inside mesothelium, which is a protective lining which covers the majority of the body’s internal organs. These cells ordinarily form within the lining of the lungs, stomach, or the sac that really encircles one’s heart. Thanks for revealing your ideas.
